Providence Detailing & Window Tinting is a full-service shop on North Davis Street. Cars get detailed by hand, corrected with a machine polisher, tinted in carbon or ceramic film, and priced out in the open.

About Our Shop
Most of the swirl marks we polish out started in an automatic car wash. That is the whole reason this shop is here. A car gets detailed by hand, dried with filtered air and clean towels, and handed back in better shape than it arrived in.
The rest of the work builds out from there. Interior detailing for cars that have had a hard year. Machine paint correction in three levels, so you pay for the amount of correction your paint actually needs. Ceramic coatings running 1, 2 or 5 years. Carbon and ceramic window tint in six shades, cut to fit your glass.
All of it happens at 30 North Davis Street. One drop-off, one team answering for the result. If your car needs correction, a coating and tint, we run them in the order that works.
What Sets Us Apart

Spinning brushes drag grit across a clear coat. That is where nearly every swirl mark we correct started life. Every vehicle here is washed and detailed by hand, foamed, rinsed, then dried with filtered air and clean towels.
It takes us longer. It also means your car leaves in better condition than it arrived, which is not something a tunnel wash can claim.

Every detailing package lists its price by vehicle size. An exterior wash starts at $40, wash & vacuum at $80, full interior detail at $225, mini detail at $250, and a full detail at $350. Paint correction runs from $250 for a gloss enhancement up to $700 for a two-step on an SUV or truck.
Because it genuinely depends on the car. Tint pricing moves with the film you pick, the vehicle, and how many windows you are doing, so a single number on a web page would be misleading. Call (401) 545-3259 with your year, make and model and we will price it exactly.
Usually, yes. A coating is a clear layer that bonds over whatever is already on the paint, so any swirls or oxidation end up locked in underneath it. We inspect the paint and tell you how much correction it wants first, if any.
One-step is a single machine stage and removes roughly 50–60% of swirls, oxidation, water spots and light defects. Two-step adds a compounding stage ahead of the polish and removes roughly 80–90% of swirls, scratches and paint defects. One-step suits most daily drivers. Two-step is for neglected paint, or dark colours where everything shows.
No. Ceramic coatings are not scratchproof. They resist UV damage and oxidation, hold gloss, and make washing much easier, but proper maintenance is still required to maximize longevity.
Both are non-metallic, so neither one interferes with your phone signal, GPS or tyre pressure sensors, and neither fades to purple. Carbon film holds a flat black look and rejects a good amount of heat. Ceramic film uses nano-ceramic particles and rejects considerably more infrared heat at the same shade, so a 30% ceramic can keep a cabin cooler than a 20% carbon. If the car sits outside or you sit in traffic, ceramic is the one worth paying for.
Rhode Island sets limits on how dark your front side windows and windshield can be, and the rear glass is treated differently again. Tell us how you use the car when you call and we will tell you what is road-legal for your vehicle before anything gets cut.
Yes, it is a $25 add-on. We collect the vehicle and return it once the work is done, so the appointment does not cost you half a day. Mention it when you book so we can plan the time.
The mini detail and full interior detail cover deep cleaning of fabric or leather seats, stain treatment and drill brush agitation. They do not include hot-water shampoo extraction or steam cleaning. If you are dealing with flooding, heavy odour or set-in staining, call us and we will talk through what the car actually needs.
